Linus, also known as linusg online, is a programmer with a wide range of interests, from web development and games to mobile and low-level programming. While considering himself a generalist, he currently focuses on JavaScript-related infrastructure within the web platform. He is involved in standards work as a TC39 Invited Expert and delegate. Linus embraces self-hosting software, running various services such as this website, monitoring tools, OwnTracks, Nextclouds, and a Mastodon instance. He is the creator of the OwnTracks frontend and actively develops open-source software, including Kiesel, a JavaScript engine written in Zig. He was previously an active contributor to the SerenityOS project, particularly LibJS and LibWeb, which evolved into the Ladybird browser. He lives in London and enjoys traveling Europe by train.
