Max Woolf is a software engineer, mentor, community builder and remote-work advocate. He has been a professional software engineer since 2012. Currently, he is a Staff Backend Engineer at GitLab. His professional focus is on Ruby and Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse OLAP database, Kubernetes, and event analytics. He also mentors junior engineers and advocates for all-remote companies and engineering teams. Outside of his job, Max is the Vice Chair and Trustee of Friends of Cotteridge Park, a School Governor at Cotteridge Primary School, and a mentor at School of Code.
