Rob Allen is a software consultant and technology leader living in Worcester, UK. He is passionate about producing pragmatic solutions which are maintainable for the long term. Rob is a leader, advisor, engineer, open source maintainer, and a public speaker. He maintains rst2pdf and Slim Framework and is on the Laminas and Apache OpenWhisk leadership teams. He creates his own projects that he shares on GitHub and contributes to other projects that he uses. Rob is the primary author of Zend Framework in Action and contributed to C++Builder 5 Developer’s Guide. He has been a professional software engineer since 1995, after graduating as an Electronic Engineer from The University of Birmingham in the UK.
