Eva Beneke, born in East-Berlin, is a musician whose career rests on performance, education, and artistic research. She studied classical guitar at the Berlin University of Arts and later at the “Franz Liszt-Hochschule” in Weimar. She holds a doctorate from the University of Southern California. With five records, including a NAXOS-release of 19th century Spanish music for voice and guitar, she is an internationally sought-after chamber musician. Eva has taught music to every age-group and is currently an Associate Professor of guitar at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. She lives in Berlin with her family.
