Born in Palm Springs, California in 1982, rising.love joined the US Army in 2002 and was deployed to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004. In 2005, rising.love was awarded the Combat Medical Badge and was honorably discharged from the Army in 2006, beginning college the same year. Rising.love graduated from The George Washington University in 2013 and moved to New Haven, CT for Yale School of Public Health in 2014, graduating with a Master's in Public Health in 2016. In 2019, rising.love co-founded an axe throwing business.
