Nikhil Anand is a student at Columbia University in the department of Biomedical Informatics. He previously studied Biomedical Engineering at The University of Iowa, specializing in Bioinformatics & Computational Biology. Before Columbia, he worked at the Iowa Institute for Vision Research and Corteva AgriScience, writing software for scientists and others. He also studied data analytics at Georgia Tech. He is originally from Hyderabad, India, and grew up in a small emirate along the Persian Gulf. He uses his website to log things of interest and experiment with personal publishing, programming, and design.

Tom Han Chongye is a Research Assistant at the Pereira Lab in Salk Institute, where he leverages deep learning to analyze the pathogenesis of ALS in a mouse model. A recent Bowdoin graduate in Biology and Computer Science, Tom develops tools for health data visualization and behavioral annotation. His projects include an iOS health data app, an undergraduate honors thesis applying deep learning to cricket ethology, and a serverless API for fetching currently playing music. He also enjoys exploring bike routes and tinkering with his Flipper Zero.

Naser Poursalavati is a Ph.D. candidate in soil virology at the University of Sherbrooke and Agriculture and Agri Food Canada. He is interested in using computers to decode complex biological data and combines his passion for coding with understanding biological systems through bioinformatics. He occasionally shares thoughts on research, life, and the things he's learning.

Sharan is a recent graduate with a B.Sc. in Microbiology and a minor in Statistics from The University of British Columbia, Okanagan. Currently residing in Seattle, WA, Sharan works as a research technician at Fred Hutch Cancer Center. With a passion for bioinformatics and computational biology, Sharan enjoys learning new techniques and teaching. Outside of work, Sharan tutors math and science and is developing an online statistics resource. Sharan also enjoys biking, hiking, cooking, and watching movies.

Gilleain Torrance is a software developer. They used to work in academia, specifically in bio- and chem- informatics. Currently, Gilleain Torrance works in the finance industry. This website showcases some of the projects they have put time into.
