Jacob Garby is a PhD student at Chalmers University, Göteborg, working in the DCS research group. He maintains a personal website to post about his interesting projects, which include computer science and photography. He presented a paper at Euro-Par 2025 about speeding up neural network training. He enjoys photographing birds and other subjects, often using his Canon 80D camera. He is interested in reproducible C++ builds and has written about logging git hashes. He also documents a card game he used to play.
