Jake Van Alstyne lives in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is a software developer with experience dating back to BASIC on an Apple IIe. He holds a M.Sc. in Computing with a focus on computer graphics and scientific visualization. Jake also dabbles in music, playing guitar since he was 14 and more recently learning the piano. When he needs a break, he enjoys spending time in the mountains with his jeep and camping trailer.
