Hay Kranen creates digital things, combining technical web knowledge with a pragmatic approach and a creative angle. He designs, develops, tinkers, and hacks on the line between art, data, technology, and narrative. Born and raised in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, Hay studied at the Utrecht School of the Arts (Design & Technology) and did the EMMA-master program in Hilversum. He co-founded Hackastory, worked as a frontend developer for VPRO Digital, and was co-editor-in-chief for 365dagenkunst.nl. He also worked as a newsroom developer at de Volkskrant and was a board member for Wikimedia Nederland.
