Steve Alvesteffer is a writer living in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. He graduated from Virginia Tech with an MBA in information technology, a B.S. in computer science, and minor degrees in history, mathematics, and studio art. He has worked in publishing, intellectual property law, and software engineering. He owns and operates StormShock Media. He enjoys baseball, Dungeons & Dragons, and other creative pursuits.

This is a space for my thoughts and ideas. I'm a cyclist, a traveler (when I can), and sometimes I become a rogue halfling in a long-running DnD campaign with my friends. A Los Angeles native, I have previously lived abroad twice, with me recently getting out there for a third time and now living in Taipei, Taiwan. I've been working as a video editor for over 10 years within marketing and video teams in various industries.
