Kendall Giles is a Collegiate Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University and is PhD ABD in Science Technology and Society at Virginia Tech. With over 20 years of experience in government and companies like General Electric and Raytheon, he has worked in software and systems engineering. His research interests include epistemic practices and risk in sociotechnical systems, the governance of emerging technologies, and engineering translation. He produces the TechnoSlipstream podcast and plays bagpipes via the Pseudodragon Project.
