In 2012, Daniel designed gestural text selection, which was covered by The Verge, Engadget, iMore, Fast Company, MacRumors, and Daring Fireball and is now integrated into Android and iOS. He worked at Apple on the iOS and macOS Photography Apps. After leaving Apple, he created Principle, a UI prototyping tool used by design teams at Apple, Google, Microsoft, IDEO, Figma, and more. Apple featured Principle in its 2019 WWDC Keynote. Daniel writes and speaks on topics related to software and design and has given talks for Google, Booking.com, Apple’s design teams, Yandex, and several local tech communities. He lives in Oregon with his wife and dog.
