Ian Duncan is a software engineer and entrepreneur based in The Netherlands. He is a full-stack developer living in The Hague and currently works as an engineer at Mercury, a financial technology company that develops bank products for startups. At Mercury, he focuses on making it easier for other engineers to write correct, resilient, and maintainable code. Before Mercury, Ian was Principal Engineer at Forge Global, a private equity marketplace, where he helped build a platform for trading private company shares and assisted with the merger with SharesPost. He has been writing in Haskell and other functional programming languages professionally since 2014.
