Catherine Liao is an entrepreneur with a passion for solving unmet needs. With training in computer science, business, and health economics, she focuses on product strategy and business development, particularly when applying technology in meaningful ways. Catherine began her tech career as a systems engineer and has since architected application infrastructures for both dotcoms and enterprises. She co-founded Blumio, a medical device startup, and is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Cambridge, examining the health economics of vascular aging. Catherine is also part of the Presidential Leadership Scholars Class of 2026, focusing on translating evidence around vascular aging into scalable adoption across healthcare systems. She is also the author of “ The Evolution and Dynamics of the Mobile App Economy: Strategies for Innovating and Marketing Mobile Apps ”.
