Gautam Narula is the author of *Remain Free*, a memoir detailing his friendship with death row inmate Troy Davis. He is also a machine learning engineer and data scientist based in NYC, currently working at Stitch Fix. Gautam attended the University of Georgia, where he studied Computer Science and Political Science as a Foundation Fellow and National Merit Scholar. He was also an alternate for the 2013 Thiel Fellowship. In the past, he co-founded a tech startup named Circa and was the founding engineer at WAR Zone Wrestling. He has also worked at Amazon, Compass, and Syndio. Gautam has spoken at MIT, Cornell, The Moth MainStage, and The Moth Radio Hour on NPR.
