Scrap Arts Music has been making music together since 1998 and began touring internationally in 2001. They are known for their explosive performances using one-of-a-kind instruments built entirely from salvaged materials. Their work, including the show "Children of Metropolis," blends music, movement, and original film to tell stories without words. They have performed at events like the 2010 Winter Olympics and have received support from organizations like the Canada Council for the Arts and FACTOR Canada. After relocating to Vancouver Island in 2014, they began integrating film and video projection into their percussion-based work.
