Derek Martin is involved in paranormal investigation, podcasting, and creating products, books, and courses. He is the owner of Derek Martin Inc. (DMI). He is starting a podcast called "Making Contact" where he will interview people who have had contact with "The Other" and attempt to replicate their experiences. He spoke at the Gatineau-Ottawa Sasquatch Conference (GOSC) in 2025 and the Ochiskicho Kaytukaheykano "Bigfoot Will Heal Us" Conference. He is affiliated with Searching for Ontario's Bigfoot, Ontario Sasquatch, S.C.E.N.I.C. Sasquatch, and the Bigfoot Canada Facebook group. He has been doing web development for 25 years.
