Jose Maria Perez-Macias holds a PhD from Tampere University, Finland, specializing in sleep monitoring and signal processing. His research focuses on developing algorithms for unobtrusive sensors, such as mattress sensors and wearables, to detect physiological signals like snoring, breathing patterns, and heart rate. With a background in telecommunications and biomedical engineering, he brings a multidisciplinary approach to his work. He is interested in AI development and wearable technologies. Outside of research, he enjoys playing piano and exploring the intersection of music and technology.
