Surgical Robotics Policy Websites

Abhishek Desai, MD, is a board-eligible general surgeon and a graduate of the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson surgical residency program. His clinical practice focuses on robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery and emergency general surgery. His research is centered on applying emerging technologies to solve clinical problems, specifically developing regulatory policy for autonomous surgical robots. He is a graduate of Boston University's Seven-Year BA/MD Liberal Arts/Medical Education (SMED) program, where he studied linguistics and medical science. He previously worked as a Clinical Research Fellow at the Penn Center for Human Appearance.
