Hiran Venugopalan is a product designer focused on tools, type, and systems. He is also a design mentor for design thinking and design leadership. Since 2010, he has led teams and built products at the intersection of design, technology, and community. Hiran co-founded UXFOSS, a community for people working on user experience in free and open source software. He helped revamp Swathanthra Malayalam Computing and designed Dyuthi, a Unicode Malayalam typeface. He also released Rufscript, a Latin display typeface. Hiran co-founded Saltmangotree, a digital marketing studio, and has worked on projects like Malayaleegraphy, Chali Machine, and Kerala Designer Co. He also enjoys home brewing and hosting coffee workshops.
