Huang Yang is a writer, video creator, and independent app developer currently residing in Hefei. He is a husband and father to a two-and-a-half-year-old boy. He started blogging on JianShu in 2013, later moving to a self-built blog, and began writing on the WeChat official account "Huang Yang ME" in 2015. In 2019, he resigned from his job and moved from Shanghai to Hefei, starting a freelance career and began publishing videos on Bilibili and YouTube. In 2021, during the pandemic, he and his wife embarked on a self-driving trip along the ancient Silk Road in a Tesla Model 3, starting from Hefei and reaching Kashgar, Xinjiang. In September 2025, he developed his first iOS App, WatchNice, which is now available on the App Store. He prefers typing on a keyboard rather than a screen.
