Kristin Kwan is an artist creating figurative paintings with an otherworldly focus. Working primarily in oil on panel, she builds vibrantly colored images in thin layers. Her inspiration comes from the natural world, legends, and myths. She uses elements of fantasy and allegory to explore themes of life, death, and rebirth. A graduate of Union College in Lincoln, NE, Kristin is the 2022 grand prize winner of the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize. She has exhibited professionally since 2019 and currently lives in Lincoln, NE.
