Henderson Reed Hummel is a programmer and prototyper. He works to understand how to make software that enriches and fulfills our human nature. Currently, he is teaching AI and ML in the Arts at Portland Community College and facilitating the SUDO engineering platforms at DigitalOcean. In the past, he organized Portland’s HTML day with his friend Danny. He was hired as a platform engineer at DigitalOcean in 2025. In 2024, he began running some local programming community events and awakened creatively at the Recurse Center. From 2020–2023, he graduated with his bachelors in computer science.
